Longer Rear Bilsteins?
Does anyone have info on longer travel Bilsteins for the rear of the D1? I have the F4-BE5_2779 - the left one has blown its seals, less than 2 yrs old. Not sure if this is normal or to be expected. My D1 has a 2' lift, running airbags so don't think compression is an issue, more like the extended length. The previous shocks I had were OME's and the fully extended length was 20mm longer than the Billsteins, had no leak issues with them. The Bilsteins were supposed to have been good for a 2" lift, but I'm not so sure. I have chatted to Gary baker about rebuilding my rear shocks, but don't want to spend the money if they are too short anyway. These might be extendable with fiddling around, but by that time it might be easier and the same price to get new ones which are correct. If not Bilsteins, then Konis maybe? The fronts seem fine and would prefer not to mix and match. Any info appreciated, thanks.
