D1's put a smile on your dial, just got an email from my Nephew and he is certainly grinning.

He noticed one thats been sitting in his neighbourhood for a while with long grass under it and cooch starting to take hold, he went and knocked on the door and asked if it was for sale.

He got it for a Slab of Beer

Maybe, but my 800kms a week average TDI with 395K seems to be lasting OK. You don't drive them they take root.

    Hey all,

My 300TDI does about 40kms a day to and from work. The back seats are out and the shelf\hidy-holes are in, no more kids messing the insides up! Absolutely love it, even though she is kinda twitchy on the muddies.

However, it's when she goes off-road every few weeks is when the grin gets even bigger! Can't fault the old girl off-road really, she needs a bit of a lift and some lockers, but does most things fine, just sometimes takes a few goes.

They really are a glorious machine!

Mine's my daily driver, it does about 140km a day!

Occasionally gets to play off the tarmac too - went exploring some of the tracks south of Walhalla at the weekend.
Which reminds me, I'll have to post up some pics of the landies that I saw in the "spotted in Vic" thread
