I have never had any reception problems, are you in a rural area or small town ?
The radio in my D1 has very poor reception. Ive pulled out the head unit and checked the plug is full pushed in. It has the wire (antenna) around the drivers side rear window. Were they ever any good or should I just get a guard mounted antenna?
Thanx
Dave

MY08 TDV6 SE D3- permagrin ooh yeah
2004 Jayco Freedom tin tent
1998 Triumph Daytona T595
1974 VW Kombi bus
1958 Holden FC special sedan
Yep works fine in the burbs but really suffers in hills and rural areas, but just 50 k + from the towers it goes pretty quiet unless you on top a hill.
Thanx
Dave
Hey mate,
I have a guard mounted antenna, so I can't comment on the style you have. Though in previous vehicles I have had the rear window style antenna and it was usually only good for a little over 50k's or so.
On that though, have you checked the grounding of the head unit? If the grounding of your radio is poor it can cause reception issues.
Good luck,
Chris
