    Cheap Snorkel

    G'day Guys,

Was just wondering if anyone had ordered a snorkel through this Malaysian company before seems a pretty good price for $185 but then again maybe you get what you pay for.

I would rather buy from MY than China, it looks like a safari copy and the kit looks comprehensive so if it was me i'd take the risk for the price.

Looks great! Yeah, please let us know how you go. I am in the market for a snorkel as we speak. Not interested in the prices some people want for their "name brand" snorkels!

We've seen some of these snorkels in the UAE and whilst the fitment was okay the grade of plastics used wasn't so great and they became very brittle when exposed to our harsh middle east UV and sunshine.

It's worth considering guys. Maybe you can treat the plastic with some sort of UV protector spray/paint?

How long was it before they started to be affected? If it's several years, I may still consider one. They are cheap enough after all. Can always replaced it after a few years if need be I guess.

I'm not really sure. I recall a few guys in our local club bought them and then after a few years one chap had to replace his.

Were they MY origin or China, Chinese plastics arent that great but the Malaysians are better.
Maybe fire off an email and ask if the plastic is UV stabilized .

    Hi mate,

I have one and I fitted it with a few problems but since then its going great!

During fitting there were some problems, with the mounting of the air box. and the size of the blocking piece on the front of the box.

Check out my build up thread on 4wd action.
