Hi
Answer is yes. I had them on a D2. You may want to modify and put some chain on them so they don't rip off when reversing over steps in the bush as they hang lower.
Does anyone have defender mudflaps on a D1???
I'm trying to find out if its possible to fit them
Why???
Because I need to replace a mudflap and I find the factory ones have the surface area of a postage stamp
And secondly if defender size ones fit I'm thinking about getting some custom aulro ones made and if enough interest consider having a few done
Obviously I have defenders too so I can do a one size fits all well in all I mean the best models available from land rover![]()

I'd be very interested in those mudflaps, if the price works out well.
I know the feeling of losing them, seems I have last all 4 of mine in one way or another.
I was going to just make some from multiply insertion rubber, but custom ones seem a lot better.
I did look at it a few months back but I was just so busy with work etc....thats why I'm considering revisiting it again.. I'm not looking at anything fancy
and was just looking at something like this
Obviously if I can do one size that fits a disco, a defender and possibly even some trailers??? might get more interest and help keep cost down...
it still not going to be something that is going to happen next week like I said I have only just started thinking about it again![]()

Same as Shorty, I will be needing some if they come in at a reasonable price.
Like them, AULRO, just the thing. Some white paint on the lettering, NICE!!!!!
I'll keep an eye on this thread.
Good idea Lou.
Might be worthwhile considering making them a bit shorter though. Standard length is 380mm, I've cut mine down to 300mm. Eliminates getting caught on the wheel with possibility of being ripped off (ask me how I know) and would probably be more universal re fitment to Discos and trailers.
Here's a few photos of mine - haven't got around to cutting the front one yet but rears have proven successful and even though they are shorter than standard, they are actually more effective at speed as they don't fly back like they used to when longer.
PS - If you go ahead with the custom AULRO mudflaps, it might be an idea to open another thread with a more appropriate title.
