I know this has probably been covered countless time already....
I recently bought my 1st Land Rover - a Disco 1 (build date 4/94), currently running Federal Couragia M/T tyres on sunnie rims. I would like to switch to something with better road manners while still being able to handle a bit of dirt and some mud... something closer to a 50/50 or 60/40 ratio of road to mud (the Federals are about 20/80 in favour of mud I think...).
Any suggestions? I'm looking for something with good road manners & grip as it's my daily drive, but I still drive off-road a bit (nothing too serious).
I'm also hoping that the change in rubber will improve my fuel efficiency a bit (currently around 12l/100k). Any info would be appreciated,
Cheers

this subject has been covered a lot and there is lots of personal preference, I have Maxxis Bighorns (245/75R16) on my disco, as my daily driver and they seem to work fine on the highway and off road.
congratulations on getting your rover, just remember the search function is your friend
I have had a great run with Goodyear Duratracs, I would say they are half way between an AT and a muddie.
