    Dodgy handling

'91 Disco at 100 kph, feels quite unstable. Steering is a little vague but this is my first 4x4 so nothing to compare it to. It doesn't have sway bars or mount points, are there after market options or should I just get the lugs welded onto my diff housing and be done with it?!?

Without sway bars they are bit like driving a boat but still drivable mine has front sway bar but the rear is sitting in the back yard. Mines a 95 300tdi I would have thought yours had them from factory so no need to weld anything just bolt some if you want

There are loads of things which can cause a feeling of instability. Suspension bushes, steering balljoints, shock absorbers, tyres, swivel preload, steering castor angle, etc.

Get the basics right before changing anything else.

I agree with Jon, a good set of shocks and springs and maintained suspension components you wont need swaybars.
