    AVM 451 freewheel hubs

    Thanks for all the advice , but still no one has answered my question. WILL THEY FIT ? DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS FITTED THEM ?

    Sorry unfortunately. No I don't know if they will fit or anyone that has fitted them, but I have only been driving/owning Land Rovers for 45 years and owned Range Rovers Discoveries and Defenders for 33 years. That about says it all.

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    My first reply gave you all the information we had.

    I don't know anyone who's fitted fwh's. Just like I don't know people who've fitted chrome 20's.

    According to the AVM site the 451 will fit your D1. Products AVM

    I still think you're being unwise, but if you do it, I would advise you seriously consider fitting a Salisbury rear end off a pre-2003 defender and regularly run the front drive train, even with the front hubs disengaged just to lubricate the front end.
