    Stuck Passenger Window

    Thought I would share this.
The passenger door window jammed about halfway up. Except sometimes it worked. There was a knocking sound at the jam point. After removing the trim. Loosening, tightening bolts, wiggling everything at the jam point. I finally noticed the problem. The bottom of the glass sits in a channel. That channel develops a bit of rust which makes it swell. Towards the front edge of the channel, if it has swelled out, it catches on something inside the door on the way up. This makes it pull out more until its bent out enough to stop the window. Put some pliers etc. onto it and squash it back.

And when it gets even rustier and doesn't work clean out as much rust as you can, put a bead of liquid nails on what's left of the Chanel and then the rubber , put it all back together lift window tight and don't open the window for a week. I don't know how long it will last, as mine hasn't failed again and I did it a while ago ...one day I'll get another or just bend up a bit of Chanel and fix it properly ...if it will ever come apart again :-( Gary

Well the answer to my question came sooner than I wanted...the liquid nails repair only lasted a month...bummer so pull it apart again and made a new one all good this time
