    indicators not working?

After recently replacing the indicator stalk to solve a "no high beam" problem, after several weeks of working fine the indicators now don't work either?? Stopped today on the way to work after being intermitant for several days??

The indicators work when on hazards lights, so am I correct to say my new "switch" has failed, or is there a seperate relay?? as I can't seem to find a fuse which operates just the indicators mentioned??

    Thanks

    Dave

Ps: if its the switch, does the steering wheel need to come off, and do you need a steering wheel puller (which I dont have)? Last one had replaced at the auto electrican (after I bought the part), as it was there for another issue!

I'm not familiar with problems on the stalk switch, which could still be the problem, however:

If you have a wiring diagram you'll see the normal indicators go through the hazard light switch as well as the stalk switch, so you could check for power at the hazard light switch. There should be 2 live wires at the hazard switch IIRC. 1 always on (for hazards) and 1 accessories on (for indicators).

You really need a wiring diagram for my suggestions tho!

Now totally no hazards or indicators when I went to drive home tonight. I can't seem to locate where the relay is located for them. The RAVE doesn't give a clear answer, and Haynes said in the passenger fuse box: I didn't think they had a passenger fuse box??

Does anyone have a clearer picture where the relay is hiding?

    Thanks

All fixed, was the flasher relay unit. For anyone wanting to know its on the main fuse board under the DRIVERS side. Don't know what Haynes manual is on about. The flasher must have been going intermittently over the last week!

Isn't Haynes, US, same as Clymer?
