Someone in this thread said hood had to be removed??? Was that the case, did the fitter need to remove hood or was it left attached? Appears to be still there in piccie.

That was me that said that. Thats what i was told by the 5 people i spoke to about getting the screen replaced. As mentioned one was a close mate that worked for windscreens O'Bri**. He said it had to be removed. As well as the other 4 places i rang up for a quote.
O'Briens just replaced mine. The bonnet was left on... I don't know if they had to fiddle with the snorkle.
Did yours look like this underneath? Im glad the guy left it and let me get to it. Its quite some work and doubt any if those guys would go the effort properly. Quite badly rusted its taking some time to clean it but ill fix it then paint the rest of the roof before he comes back.
PS it didnt look anywhere near this bad. The finishers covered it all so anyone getting window guys to do it for u make sure you stick around to see it. You may be surprised.
Glad you caught the rust now!!! wow that will take a bit of effort but you won't be disappointed when you know in YOUR mind it has been done spot on and won't leak.
Cheers and enjoy your summer knowing it is all good.
I had my Disco windscreen done a couple of years ago $500, 250 for glass 250 for trim bonnet and wipers stayed in place.
