Yet Another A/C thread
Sorry gents to put another thread up about A/C.
My Disco has been stood for a while, lost a bit of gas, rear a/c is not cold at all.
Just reclaimed what was left
I've the use of a vac pump, so going to triple vac it, and break the vac with nitrogen. Can't see no tell tale signs of oil on the pipe work etc.
I was going to top it up, but not knowing how much it had lost, I didn't want the hit and miss numbers.
It needs 1.14kg of r134a, what are the ideal low side numbers, I was hoping for 30 psig, and 200 psig with an ambient of 32c.

That sounds within the ball park, from memory R134A has about a 20% higher head pressure than R12 did.
If you use the 300 series refrigerants (propane); if it's legal where you are, that has a lower head pressure you only use about 30% of the R12/134A charge
