    fault finding a running issue found it easier to bare the wires behind the plug of the TPS and use alligator clips than trying to jam probes in the back of the plug, your dear old dad can rest easy a suitable insulation repair will be carried out before it hits the road

    An alternative is to stick a pin in the wire and use alligator clips on that.
    A pin hole can be easily sealed by a dab of liquid tape.
