    Bloody water leak again

I thought I had the water leak licked I gooped up every orifice on the car and now it can sit in the rain all day. Dry as no dramas. Get going down the road and in it comes I've had the left guard off the stupid plastic junk at the bottom of the screen off widow trim ect and it got me stuffed where is getting in I'm so close to sending this pos to the crusher where it belongs I have never had a dud land rover like this one

I was doing the same thing. Turns out the top of the windscreen was rusted out. I ended up getting the roof re-sprayed while I had the rust in the Alpine windows and windscreen repaired. Fixed!

I really don't want to pull the screen out and there's no rust anywhere else so I'd be surprised if its the same problem. It's comeing out next to the heater there's an open channel there and it seriously ****es out of there I found a crack where the a pillar meets the roof and sealed that up and it stopped it ****ing out of the kick panel but what's got me is the sheer volume of water it would have to be a serious hole it looks like someone up ended a bucket of water on the pasenger floor and it has only been light drizzling rain

Cheers mate but I have covered all those and a heap on pommy forums as well. I'm seriously thinking about cutting up the wreck on my mates farm to find where it could be sneaking in. I have put a camera up the drain in the kick panel right up past the top hinge and also poked it around where its leaking under the dash with no joy.

I went very close to burning mine out of frustration for exactly the same reason

While I was in Adelaide went to TRS and crawled all over the wreaks in different stages on stripped - all to no avail.

I finally saw a small crack (it looked like where the 2 ends of the sealing strip for the screen rubber ended) in the rubber on the top corner drivers side; jammed a silicone tube in it squeezed enough in that removing the windscreen will probably involve throwing the body away BUT it fixed the leak, given how innocuous and small it looked I am staggered that it was the problem all along.

I'm looking closely at the seam sealer in the rain gutter at the present. Can the water run forwards from the alpine window?
