Thread: Idling rough and clutch not fully extending

Hey fellas,

I just had my 96 300tdi serviced and since getting it back I've noticed that the engine sounds a hell f a lot more rattly/clacky at idle and the idle sounds aren't consistent but vary to loud then quiet. Any ideas?

No real issue were outlined during the service.

I've also noticed, though it may be a separate issue that after pushing the clutch in it sometimes will not come back fully, only about half way although it seems as though i still have full or mostly full power.

Both these issues have only arisen since the service.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Simple answer, take it back and explain this to the workshop.
