    300tdi auto trans

    I'm about to bust in to a trans service today while its quiet at work. Do these trans have band adjustments ?

    No bands, just clutches.

    A service usually comprises of fluid and filter replacement but also a good idea to flush the cooler if not been done before.

    No time for the filter that's going to wait till after Xmas this oil I put in will act as a flush till I have 5 mins to spare and drop the pan off

    Best give yourself more than 5 mins to drop the pan. Minimum the left trans mount has to be moved, and with that its a fiddle but can be done without crossmember removal - but to do it nice allow the time to remove the crossmember (and the muck that's coating it and the bolts till you clean it), makes for a much nicer job. The next time its easier and quicker.
