Exclamation '94 Disco - Expansion Tank Needed NOW!

I doubt our Expansion Tank can be repaired (has a split below the fill line), and it's some sort of plastic, but I really need one and wondered if anyone within cooee of Ipswich (Leichhardt, Qld) could recommend a supplier or wreckers that might even deliver (can they be sourced second hand I wonder?) so we could possibly fit it PRIOR to December 24th?

I'm presuming it's not too difficult to take one out and replace it? A few hoses etc and we should be ok?

Hi mate. Think you got that backwards. The original is black and prone to splitting. The replacement ones are white.

Ah, depends on what you call white, there are clear see through ones being offered for sale via Ebay, they are about $45 and are cheap thin CRAP! We were offered some and sold a couple and had to replace them, one on the day of fitting as customer was filling it, coolant was coming out of the seam and one a week later. Not worth the agravation!!!!

If you are stuck, try using that plastic petrol tank repair putty and drive with the pressure cap off, I managed to drive 150 kms like that until I could get a sparec one
