Driveshaft maybe??
My D1 300TDI auto has just started to thump on pulling up in the last 20 mts. I think it is when it goes from 2 into 1. The quicker you pull up the harder the thump. All other shifts are OK.
Fluid condition & level looks OK.
I was thinking of playing with the cable to reduce the throttle pressure on closed throttle but am afraid this will result in early part throttle upshifts.
Any auto guru's out there who can help?
Driveshaft maybe??
Check that the kickdown cable is tensioned correctly, should be slack 5-10mm roughly.

Has the oil filter in the actual gearbox been changed recently? If its gummed up it might be impeding the flow of oil inside the gearbox. Might be cheap fix.
