    Well I tried to change mine today and couldn't depressurise the system. Ran the engine minus fuel pump fuse until it died, but when undoing the union from the pump it was spraying fuel like crazy. I had visions of the whole car going on fire so I tightened it back up and got into my 300Tdi

    From memory I had something similar, it turns out if I took the fuel cap off first it depressurised the tank..Gary
