Hi,
After 30 years of Landy ownership, I have been stumped...
Replaced the trans fluid and filter on the 300 tdi auto, and now she will not start.
I did manage to drop the pan without removing the crossmember, but no way could I get it back without removing the crossmember.
Could I have upset the start interlock, or is there some other permissive that I am ignorant of. I did think of a bat flattery, but that was a forlorn hope, and I did think of the alarm, but again, I fear a false hope.
The symptom is all lights on dash come on, glow plugs apparently glow, and not even a solenoid click.....
Any ideas?

also check the solinoid plug on your injection pump as it is very close to the dipstick and could have been knocked off when refilling the transmission, if it is the selector switch on the box you will be able to start the engine with a screw driver accross the starter, i only suggest this so you find the original problem with out creating a whole new one in the search

Hi all, and many thanks for the pointers!
It was indeed park/neutral start interlock. One wire was broken or pulled out at the switch.
A bit of digging about cleared enough encapsulating sealant to re solder it and carry on. For a bit- the reverse contact now does not work. Grrrhg. But better to be starting, and no reversing lights, than the initial reverse problem.
And the tip about bridging the solenoid paid off in two ways - confirmed the starter was ok, and identified the source of hissing under acceleration, the small hose off the turbo outlet had come adrift.
All the best for 2014!!!
