Doing my Disco on a budget as I am at uni at the moment, and only looking to hold onto the old girl for the next couple of years till I finish, and then look at changing to a newer Defender.
Anyhow, keeping a peeper out for a second hand lift.
Dies anyone know what sort of weight difference there is between the 300tdi and the V8 motor is?
i.e. will springs/shocks purchased for a V8 D1 be compatible (more important, functional) with my 300tdi D1?
Both cars have bullbar, catch is the V8 has LPG in the rear. Where as I dont currently. But I am considering knocking up a set of draws (which could help the ride).
I dont want something that is too stiff, and wont flex up that well.
We all know that four on the floor is key to forward progression.
(I have many one eyed yota and nissan mates, and want to embarrass them as much as possiblehahaha).

V8 and tdi springs interchange and possibly the same from factory as they are a similar weight, for ultimate flex LRA probably has the best range of springs.
