Angry BOILING OVER! AND THE DISCO TOO.

This is it! I've had enough (insert swear words here!) Two weeks ago I blew a heater hose, SWMBO and four kids in the car, 40'C, towing trailer, peak hour traffic etc...All sorted, pain in the butt but close enough to get help thankfully. Last week coolant bleeding out from metal lines under power steering, shroud out nipped em' up all good...yesterday little expansion hose leaking GRRRR! Today she's up on the temp guage (again)... I see expansion tank is now split and while staring and swearing I notice the bottom radiator hose is swollen up like a biggest loser contestant. This car is becoming a never ending repair case, I wouldn't think I bought a lemon but SWMBO's "family car" has not gone a week without some sort of repair. Dare I say "I WANT MY 60 SERIES LANDCRUISER BACK!!!"

I'm guessing "all sorted" after the heater hose incident means you just replaced the hose?
If you blew a hose and it got hot, you've most likely done the head gasket too which is causing all the other leaks etc that you are seeing.

Do you run any sort of low coolant alarm or engine temp monitor?

You have given no indication what engine you have but with the list of leaks you have mentioned I would suspect a head gasket.
You are welcome to your 60 Series

97 V8i, 200k klms. I stopped as soon as it heated up after the heater hose originally hoping not to create more problems, but from most scenarios I've come across the head gasket is usually a symptom never the problem, in which case I might just go swear some more yeah?

Personally I have never had much trouble with my V8s I was more thinking TD5 head gasket pressurizing the system.

    Good luck

Yes exactly but not a TD5, it does seem like all of a sudden there's far to much pressure in the system, hence one new hose blows the next and so on. I'm now in possession of a new expansion tank but now I guess it would be silly to fit, I sure hope I haven't warped a head.
