Thread: Rear Swaybar Links Inverted.

I have the same issue with my 110 and are keen for a fix. Either longer links or some type of quick disconnects, but I have no idea where to source them. Interested if anyone has a solution.

I had the same idea, but welding up my own links. Cut then weld in a nice big thick piece of reo.

I recon that would solve the problem, as I feel that with my 2" lift that the swaybar is now too short(even with my crib boxes on the sway bar mounts), and it is not the shock that is limiting the travel.

I removed my rear sway bar all together on my disco1 and handles fine with out it (dont want to hear people bang on about insurance I know) I live in perth hills winding roads still feels stable I have front removed too

Being the third owner of my D1, I discovered that a previous owner had removed the rear bar for better articulation (her name is I-Lean now).
I was considering a mod similar to the front shocks of my S3.
Fabricating up a pair of extended axle end mounting pins, with a holes drilled through to fit tractor type Lynch Pins, this should make a quick detach system.
Should give the best of both worlds.

PS, anybody got a spare D1 rear sway bar going cheap for an ex serviceman pensioner?

Ive had a disco before this one without a rear swaybar, was lifted higher with bigger offset rims and larger tyres and was real twitchy in the handling, mainly at the rear, would get the tankslapping at speed and on corners that tighten would buck the rear up suddenly.
So new question, if the front swaybar is removed too, will that eliminate those issues?

I have a spare sway bar im in perth wa if your local you can have it for free.
