Convert from 10 spline to 24 spline

    Hello all,

Im going to change my 93 D1 to 24 splines, ive done some scratching around on here and figured out if I use disc to disc front and back from a 94 model they will bolt straght in.

There are 2 things I could not find out though.

1- is the 94 model a dual or single brake line, if its single will ny 93 calipers bolt straight on?

2- do I need to change the drive shafts front and rear?

    Thanks all

It will fit straight in providing it has a 4 bolt pinion flange (1994MY does). The calipers are single pipe on all D1s.

Or you could swap the diff centre, axles, hubs, stub axles over between housings.

The pre update D1 is dual brake line, I thought about just doing the internals but I want to put lockers in and totally rebuild so if I get a disc to disc I can do each one on the bench before putting them in

Sorry, I read it as you were doing the rear conversion.

IIRC, the front brakes changed to vented discs with the 3.9 engine so the front calipers won't interchange if that's the case.

Ok so I have got to figure out the pipework for the brakes now, and by pinion flange I assume you mean were the tailshaft bolts to on the diff?

Yes. 1995 onwards had a 3 bolt flange on the rear diff.
