    D1 cutting out

Both batteries are fully charged but there is no power going through to the fuse box and therefore also to the ignition. It has done this twice in the last two days, running for about 15 secs, but then cutting out. The first time it started again after a minute, the second it started after an hour but this time there is just no power.

There is a red flashing LED at driver's side which appears to suggest an immobilizer of some sort but my manual for this model doesn't mention an alarm or an immobilizer. I'm therefore guessing that it is after market. Any good information on that?

Assuming it is an immobilizer issue, I'd be happy to bypass it completely. Are there any standout issues in having this done?

    Cheers.

Do you have a key fob with push buttons? If so
How many buttons? Also how are you running your dual batteries? The older diode set ups can isolate both batteries from the system if they fail.

From your other thread, you have a 1993 200tdi. These didn't have any security system from the factory so you have some sort of aftermarket kit fitted.

If it's mucking up & you can't determine what brand it is to sort it out, remove it altogether & get it back to factory spec.

    Thanks

The beast is currently at the servo and the mechanic said exactly that he would restore it to standard before looking at any other issues. I had a look at the after market wiring and wasn't impressed.

Run a wire directly from battery to inj pump solenoid and see if it keeps running.
