Km2 or KL71 which to buy

Tomorrow is tire buying day, was after some input do i go with the BFG km2 which i can get at a super price, or go with the Kumho KL71 which are will be around the same price. i am looking at 285/75R16 size i could go to the 315/70r16 in the kumho for the same price as the 33 in BFG.
I have no experience with either brands and would like some if you were to do it again what would you buy advise and why.
Everyone raves about BFG there are some good reviews on the khumo all so.

The disco is not a daily driver setting it up for touring ( high country and with a little beach driving maybe).

    Thanks guys

I dont have either but from speaking to a tyre dealer who has the kumhos on his basher he likes them but they wear quite fast due to softer compound, and everyone raves about km2's I would have got them if I could afford them

Bob Jane states they will beat any stocked item by 10% makes them $284 each which is cheap

    16" MUD TERRAIN - 4WD TYRES - TYRES

i like the look of the 255/85R16 narrow only 10 inch wide over the 11.2 of the 285/75R16

On the last couple of drive days comparing the two tyres together, both on Jeeps with similar mods,

The Kumho eats up the rocks far better than the KM2 without loosing tread blocks.
Kumho also seemed to be a bit better in the really sticky clay mud

But less road noise on the KM2's and they felt better on wet bitumen. And from what the guys say you will get more KM's out of the KM2's as the Kuhmo's seem a bit softer.

I have the KM2's on my Disco3, only in a 31 and they have been brilliant so far. Not sure I would go the Kuhmo's from what the Jeep guys say as I have a ton more weight.

Hands down, the KM2 is a better product. Sidewall punctures aplenty out of a set of khumo's, not a single one out of the BF's. And the tread looked better come replacement time on the BF's as well.
