Bullbar ABS vs. Non-ABS? Any difference?
Does anyone know the difference between ABS vs. Non-ABS bullbar, bumper?
Here is what I am after.
I want to modify stuck Disco bumper for the winch. (I don't want new bumper).
In the process of modification of the new bumper, I don't want to screw up my ABS compatibility.
Hence the question what is the difference between ABS compatible and NON-ABS Bullbar?
Cheers!

ABS?
I think you mean SRS (safety airbags). ABS is anti lock brakes.

The ARB air bag compatible bull bar had crush cams to mount it
However the TJM version did not ........as they claimed extensive testing proved the bull bar did not effect the SRS
So i would suspect you would be fine Modifying yours

Thanks mates and sorry for the mistake, of course I meant SRS.
When I looked at the bumper mounts I thought that they had in fact had something to do with the air bags. I think I will be fine, I am trying to do one of those concealed winch mounts, where the winch is mounted to the frame on a tray behind the bumper so the fairlead is just below the bumper.
I will use the winch once in a while only.

Like this one that would leave my original bumper in tack and remain Airbag compatible.
