    Tire Favour required beer supplied

    Hi guys i need a lend of 4 standard rims and tyres ( roadworthy ) to present to vic roads and roadworthy inspection would be for only one day will be driven from Pakenham ( or your location) to Warragul and back. In return a slab/block of beer or 750 ml bottle of choice.

    I'm guessing 35's on bead lock rims or similar. Never pass a RWC like that...

    Especially with all the "big wheels' that have killed people in the past, there will be a statistic somewhere in the system that will claim that more people are killed every year by wide wheels and big tyres than are killed by cancer, you can bet.
    You are sure taking a risk putting this request on this forum especially down in Vic with all the "law eyes" that are looking.

    As for the new tyres going on to the car they are the massive 285/75 R 16 which a lot of guys run going from standard size it is an increase of 96.5 mm Vic roads allows a total of only 75mm so i am out by 21.5 mm which is not roadworthy without a engineers. So my plan get it roadworthy then registered ... then down to LRA for the works required to get said car engineered been registered already makes for easy of movement to lra then onto engineers. Doing it this way i didn't think was illegal.

    Nice way of saying it - that sounds quite legal.
