spongy brakes
I have had a few issues with my Disco 1 300 TDI. I am on my second vacuum pump in under a year. After replacing it again I now have spongy brakes with a hissing noise near the pedals.
Is this hissing noise normal and I just didn't notice it before.
I have bled the brakes with no effect on sponginess.
Has anyone else had similar problems.

Is the hissing noise all the time or just when the brakes are used? Al the time would suggest that a vacuum is being made, but escaping? How are the seals around the hose, and the hoses themselves? If you can hear it inside, vacuum may be escaping through the booster.

I have changed the master cylinder, rebuilt all the calipers and bled the system several times. Braided lines are in the mail then more bleeding.
Is the rod in the booster adjustable and has anyone done it before. Also do other 300TDi's boosters respond the same as a petrol car and cause the bedel to sink when you start the car as mine doesn't.
The brakes work better after a few pumps but the next application they are back to useless.

What rotors
What front rotors is every one using. I currently have solid rotors and see dba list both solid and vented.
Am I able to fit the vented option DBA 087S.
