    D1 won't rev

Hi guys brought a 3.9 93 model disco and it will idle fine but when I put some revs on it gets a misfire and sounds to be back firing through air box as it gets a nasty pop with a couple revs. I have replaced plugs and leads, fuel filter etc and helps a little but still doing it. Am new to disco's and this forum so any help would be greatly appreciated

Check your timing, they like 10btdc ...if still popping maybe compression test...might? Be burnt inlet valve ...gotta start some where..at least then you'd have an idea of motor cond, Gary

Just a thought but check your exhaust system isn't crushed somewhere.I had a similar issue with my old RR when I purchased it and was surprised to find that was the problem.

Check the voltage on the MAF as well and give it a clean, also the TPS (throttle position sensor) mine was a bit like that, adjusted the voltage on each and it ran a lot better, mine is a 3.5 93 mod but much the same

Low fuel pressure might be the culprit too.
