The Door locks on my "93" D1 have OCD

    Hi All,

It appears the door locks (all of them) on my 93 D1 have developed some form of mental issue, here’s what happens

I put the key in to unlock the central locking, only drivers door unlocks, I lock and unlock again with key only drivers and rear passenger side door unlock, same again this time only 3 doors unlock, this can keep going on and on with no pattern for up to 7-8 times before finally all doors unlock together it is also getting progressively worse when I got the car about 18 months ago it only needed to be done once or twice which was fine but now its getting on my nerves, what could be the problem here? Could it be the main central locking ECU is having a mental breakdown and need replacing or could it be the individual locks on each door?

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

The funny thing is though the ones that dont move dont appear to have power either then the bext key turn they do and others dont, is there a central door lock cpu in a 93 pre update, csnt seem to find any reference to one before a 94 model

Same here....both D1 and Rangie....dust and moisture causing bad connections in electrical plugs. I clean them and it fixes it, for a while at least.
