Are you planning on fitting a decent rear bar? If so, you can extend the 'wings' on that to protect the rear 1/4s.
In the meantime, how about rubber sheeting to fill the obvious gaps?
So I brought my disco around 12 months ago from a young fella who had used the car for nothing but bashing around in the bush.
This wasn't to much of a concern to me as I was actually looking for a bit of a project and it was at the right price so all was well.
One of the things that has me stumped though is how I am going to repair the rear panels.
As you will see from the attachment it has been completely butchered to fit the 33's with the lower section now completely missing.
My concern is it won't take long for the boys in blue to take note of this which is not a path I am wanting to go down if I can avoid it.
Any one got any ideas as part from replacing the complete panels?

What about a piece of checker plate alloy lightly curved and cut to shape and painted black ?
MY08 TDV6 SE D3- permagrin ooh yeah
2004 Jayco Freedom tin tent
1998 Triumph Daytona T595
1974 VW Kombi bus
1958 Holden FC special sedan
Both sound like good ideas guys.
But yes I will be looking to fit a rear bar in the future.
