    Cable under seat

Took drivers seat out of my disco 1 to repair and noticed a blue cable labelled "td changer". Anyone know what is the cable for. Also a male and female wire there as well. Thanks.

Yeah as in plug in " to changer " . Actually factory changer was under passenger seat so possibly the changer had a lead that attached to that lead.

The replies are correct that the cable is to the CD stacker. I still have the original fitted CD stacker (10) discs under my drivers seat. They fail with faulty cd laser trackers generally and cost about $200 to repair. They were a good quality brand but if you ford rivers must remove them to stop water damage.
Most people have replaced the original stereo system by now as it sometimes is cheaper. Mine is still all original and working.
