No injector pulses
I'm trying to help a fellow forum member with a 1996 D1 v8 manual. Distributor and coil. Looks like fuel relay failed so I replaced it. Now have spark and fuel rail pressure but no injector pulse, so no noise. Fuel pump turns off after 3 seconds so I assume is ecu operational. What signals are required for ecu to provide injector pulse? Anything else that should be checked?

Beats me, but I do have parts available if you figure it out.

There is only one input to the ECU to cause it to inject fuel and that is the white/black stripe wire normally connected from the vehicle loom to the coil negative. Somebody's knocked it off or disconnected it further in after the resistor. It changes colour after the resistor to white/blue stripe.

Hi Guys this is my Landy we are trying to get to restart so first of all thanks for the help!!
I checked the two resisters last night and 6.9 and 4.66, then checked the coil and that was 1.8 and 7500 ohms so good too. Though ok maybe there is a short in the wire so i ran a jump from the end of the resistors to the white /blue wire at the puter and......still no start.
Just to recap
Started the car drove about 400 meters and it died like it was out of fuel, put more fuel in it and still no go.
We have found that when the car is started the fuel pump kicks in for about 30 seconds to bring the rail up to pressure but after that nothing.
There appears to be no injector pulse
There is spark.
I is completely lost now
