tdi auto box removal
gday,gearbox has lost drive in some gears,want to pull it out.Any tips or tricks i should know of .thanks,kadine

Make sure you're not out of transmission fluid first, much easier to remove if you take off the handbrake drum and the transfer case first, much easier to handle, make sure the torque convertor doesn't fall off the front of the box when removing box, you can make up a strap of metal to bolt across the bellhousing bolt holes to hold the convertor. Also a couple of guide studs for the back of the auto to guide the T/C back on, Regards Frank.
