    Throttle cable

So I bought a 97 Disco 1 TDI. The accelerator is very hard to push. So check it out and it looks like the cable is to long as it snakes to the fuel pump. So go to buy the correct cable to be told that it is a know issue. Has anyone had the same experience or a fix.

Someone else had this problem recently and i was surprised to see how the cable does a big loop before going into the firewall.
All i can suggest is to make sure that there are no sharp bends and try to re route it if required, mine is quite easy to push down and its the original cable.
