    STUCK TORQUE CONVERTER

    Hi,have finally managed to pull out my auto box but the torque converter seems stuck to the engine.ANYideas?Its a 300tdi

    It bolts (4 bolts) to the flex plate. Bolts accessible from the front side of the plate. Need to to rotate as required. Check the plate for cracks while it's off (separate step to unbolt it from the crank boss).

    Also check the tangs on the convertor and the front pump driveshafts for damage, leaving the torque convertor on the flex plate when removing the gearbox may cause some damage, Regards Frank.

    Also be careful.


    It's bloody heavy and you WILL need someone to hod it while removing the last bolts. If it hits you in the head you'll know all about it and we may never hear about it.
