Another brand you might be able to source is Mann-Hummel, but the Coopers filter would be fine.

As for a pressure drop indicator, I've never bothered fitting one, but you might be able to get one from a filter housing at a truck wreckers ?

    Thumbs up

Interesting thread. FWIW I've got 10k dirt in and out of my place before I go anywhere. Oil changes at 7000k, filter every 14000k. Blow out air filter at each oil filter change and have only replaced air filter about 5 times. Currently 440,000k on the clock.
I had the LR air intake relocation (mini cyclopac fitted in front of air box so not drawing dusty air from inner guard) fitted early after purchase as noticed dusting after air filter, problem gone. Filter hardly gets dirty. I check for dusting every service now and haven't noticed since.
Had to replace head gasket at 280,000k due to a mix up in coolant type causing calcification and blockage in radiator, still had cross hatching in bore and no lip whatsoever. Still not using any oil and fuel economy and power never changes apart from summer/winter variables. Have an oil pressure gauge fitted and always reads the same.
Changed fuel filter about 5 times. Use ProMa oil and fuel additives. Changed injectors once...don't know why, wasn't using any more fuel, just thought I better at 200,000ks...made no difference. Haven't touched the injection pump just adjust the tappets about every 100,000ks and timing belt kit every 50-70 thou. That's it...These are a tough little motor.
    Les.
