    300tdi injector pump leak question

Can they leak from somewhere other than the throttle shaft area. My mates seems to be leaking between the top and bottom halves if that makes sense. Any tips or ideas.
    Thanks

    There are several.potential leaking points

    The throttle shaft
The plate seal.that has the throttle shaft
The compensator cab leak into thecompe Sat or and then out the atmospheric vent.
The inlet and outlet fittings fan leak
The primary shaft seal can leak
The distribution head to bid seal can leak
The injector line union fitting can leak as can their mounts
Any of the screw cover fitting or retaining fitting by that locate an internal piece from the outside can leak.

I have a off and on leak, it was leaking (and I did nothing to fix it) and now it doesn't seem to. But I was told that there is no seal kits, the only options was to shell out $1200 to refurbish the unit. True?

    Bosch seal kit #1 467 010 467
    Throttle spindle bush 1460324333

The throttle bush seal and the top cover gasket are the ones that usually leak and are fixable by DIY.

Gasket and o-ring can be ordered separate.

They also have the fuel spill rubber hose for between the injectors.

KM Diesel - are they viton rubber? My understanding is that viton is more tolerant of the low sulphur (if I've got my facts right).

Some years ago I got a viton rubber refurb kit from Sydney Diesel Centre 02 9681 7700.

Km diesels got the good stuff.

If their seals stand up against the crap I use as fuel I don't thing they'll be upset by the lack of sulpher.
