Thread: Drivers door hard to shut

The hinges could have dropped check the latch in the door lines up somewhat with the catch in the b pillar not un common with a drivers door remember it does all the work. There will be adjustment on the catch if its not enough you may need to move the hinges on the door

Also check the striker post itself is tight on the b pillar. It has a big allen/hex socket centre, you may see if its been pushed inwards over time by some marks showing movement. Also get a #3 Phillips screwdriver and check the mechanism is tight in the door. Any looseness can stop the latch working properly.
