    Window regulator fix

Recently had both passenger windows give out with a thunderous crash. In both instances plastic roller had collapsed. I refused to purchase new regulators for such a minor fault and decided to make up my own. I replaced the front and then the rear rollers. It was whilst doing rear one I thought I should take some piccies and show what I had done. Fix is bullet proof and hopefully permanent.
I ended up replacing all the rollers in all windows.
First photo is what happened to roller.

I removed original post from regulator arm by milling away and punching through

Tapped a suitable thread in window regulator to attach roller and bolt, bolt is slightly below surface of roller

Screw bolt with roller to regulator arm using existing wave washer between roller and channel. Attach nut to bolt. I used 2 nuts and loktite to make sure it would never come apart. Left a slight looseness to ensure roller would roll and not bind. Voila job done. Easy fix and solid as. All works perfectly, took me all day to do all windows.

You could machine up more nylon rollers and sell them to the rest of us chumps that don't have machining tools!

Now there's a thought, could sell them as a kit for D1 and D2, having read various fixes it seems pretty good and works as new. Easy to do as well (if you have a machining centre)

Thought of something like that , but I thought eventually I would need to clean up dust etc that's gonna get into the grease. Wanted to fix it once only, I'm lazy
