    Bloody hopeless on diesels, can someone tell me how if the sedimenter has not been drained and parts renewed, how will this affect the performance of my wagon?.Also is there a kit

    You will suffer symptoms like fuel starvation. I think I just cleaned mine out.

    No kit available or required, you just drain it out and clean if required.
    Only done mine once in 150K, if you did get a build up of crap it could slow the fuel delivery down.
    A tip is not to undo the drain plug on the bottom but undo the top mounting bolt to avoid snapping the plastic plug.

    I went to do mine last month and I started on the drain plug and thought if I keep going I'll snap it off. So I left it be. At least I know I'm not the only D1 with a stuck drain plug. Next time I'm under the car I'll undo the top mounting bolt. Thanks for the pointer.

    Thanks for the replys, my main reason for asking is a noticeable decrease in power on the hills lately and was thinking this may be the reason.

    Check your turbo hoses and when were the valve clearances last checked ?
