I've screwed alloy plates over the offending holes until I can have it welded up. Hi WillsTdi.

I had a similar issue. Turns out it was the aircon drain tubes in the tranny tunnel blocked and filling up with condensed water and overflowing inside, soaking the carpet. So just check that also.

I will be doing this soon as mine is crazy wet after the massive storm we had, I also need to get my windshield resealed as it runs down the inside in crazy weather.

Did you cut the radiator support panel at all? I'm looking at fitting one of these in a defender and think I'm going to run in to trouble.

Removed both front and rear sway bars.:D

set of goodyear wrangler duratracs
new front wheel bearings
diagnosed the problem with my hand brake
led light bar and led driving lights
fitted a 2 way
fitted recovery shackles to front
bought a snatch strap
fitted a mounting on spare wheel for my high lift jack..

things to do next..
winch
fix hand brake
rear donut...
... think of other things to buy lol

Managed to shear the rear brake line driving on slightly corrugated roads.

Not even 4wding, just driving on a rubbish road in Deep Creek and managed to lose almost all my brake fluid and braking abilities.

Called a mate and managed to bodge together a solution the next day (luckily i intended on camping) but didn't have the tools to properly bleed the brakes so the drive home was pretty interesting.

Have not fixed it yet but have organised new pipe and set aside time.

Did consider swapping the brake lines for braided lines though (apparently $100+ per metre compared with $1 per metre)

Vibration check all the retainers are fitted to the pipe and you shouldn't have a drama
