Stood next to it and pondered.......
Thats all i could do given i have a diff center lying on the ground waiting to be fixed/replaced.
And this is hard for me! I normally take the old girl out daily to get muddy.:censored:
Fitted an external fuel cooler in front of the radiator. Why? Because I've been dragging the V8 trans cooler from state to state for years trying to find something to fit it to. I bought it years ago for a RRC but sold it before I got to fit it. And it gets very hot up here and I figure the cooler I can keep the fuel the better for the life of the pump and injectors. So say lots of truck drivers I meet up here anyway. They also say they get more consistent power on hot days. I'll report if it does anything or not.
Washed it as I just did a trip from Hobart to Sydney and back and it ran like a champ - so deserved the TLC! The tweaked injector pump makes my Tdi fly and run economical at the same time :D
Finally got around to doing the rotoflex to uni conversion, just re-attached the magnets to the tailshaft for the cruise control and shaft will go in tomorrow.
Hi loanrangie,
Is your cruise control factory fitted or aftermarket? Reason I'm asking is because I'm looking at fitting aftermarket system and utilising existing speedo sensor pulses from LT230. And you are mentioning external magnets, so just wondering why would it have extra magnets.
Aftermarket that uses a pickup and magnets on the shaft, factory unit doesnt need these.
