I have some great sliding windows in the back of my 1995 TDi, I had to make up a small stopper so my stupid dog (English Pointer) couldn't slide it open fully and get his shoulders out, when his sholders came out his front legs were already out his rib cage follows, now that's about 75% of his body weight, so a nice right hander at a brisk pace means the dog is walking the rest of the way!!!
So that's done now our trip to the beach this morning was alot safer journey:)
fitted some rhino rack roof bars and a roll out awning, just need a roof top tent and some travel money before the big touring trip :)
Over the last couple of days I have fitted the original air box and modified to suit the LPG and fitted a snorkel and also fitted new springs giving it a 65mm lift

Not technically on my Disco, but did a springover conversion on my trailer so that it's not sitting at a weird angle when being towed by the Disco.
Turned out to be quite simple, most of it was done by my 15 year old son under my supervision.
Changed the oil in both TC and rear diff, changed the aux. battery mount in the tray as i wasnt happy the way it was.
Got out before it got too hot and put my new crank battery in , and of course the holder was 5mm short .
Cut and bolted in an adjustable brkt and job done.

Fixed my rear windows not working with the repair instructions via this link.
Fixing non functional rear windows
Dry solder in the same spot as the author. I now have working rear windows again and was a simple fix. Def have to remove the top and bottom 7mm nuts as the circuit board hits the dash metal when trying to slide out and those pics are LHD.
After the few problems I had getting ready I spent two great weeks in the high country and TELLY went great.
It has been a long time since I drove a 4x4 without lockers or limited slip diff and was a little concerned that I would make it up some of the tracks I had selected to do. I needn't have worried because he went great, did billy goat bluff (bent both rear guards...should have done a camel cut:mad:), into Talbotville and blue rag range as well as others.....Very happy.
Todays job is unpacking and then trying to get 2 weeks worth of high country dust out of the interior:eek2:
The glove box also need repair.. the upper part that holds the lid shut and the light, dropped out. It looks like it is just pushed onto some plactic ribs and they are melted through the slots in the metal bracket.
Does anyone have experience with repairing this part? Or does anyone have a dash apart the can take a photo of how it is mounted?
