Hey guys,i did the window ecu repair all went well but i was a lazy idiot i know.. and didnt disconnect the battery, i had plugged both plugs back into the ecu before completely sliding it back into its casing, i accidently touched it on some metal and it sparked and i think i fried it... does that make sense? i dont understand electrics very well, im hoping i can just buy a new repaired ecu and it will work? or could i have done more damage than just the ecu? please help me haha![]()

Put another ecu in and see what happens.

Replaced ecu all is fine now but the top plug is slightly loose and sometimes the rear windows wont work, until you fiddle with the plug, these things are so frustrating? whats the easiest way to solve this new issue of a slightly loose plug... *ripping my hair out*
It is the circuit board behind the glove box. Remove the glove box and you will see some electrical components. One is the controller for the rear windows. On the board, a solder joint has separated. Look for it and fix it up and all will work as new.
There is a step by step how to do it here:

I have already replaced the ecu with a repaired one from MR automotive, its the top plug that plugs into it, that is slightly loose on mine, that is now the problem![]()
I have had a similar problem, and last weekend I pulled out the ECU (again) and resoldered all of the pins the plug pushes on to. Firmed up the plug and got the rear windows working like new!
