It could just be the adjustment of the mounts, if they used smaller diameter bolts then it could move when it was bolted on.
Is it an airbag model as these use a concertina type separate mount.
Hi guys,
New kid here.
I used to own a Classic 85' Black Rangie back in the 90's that was a labour of love and eventually sold to my dismay. Rolled on 33's, flares, twin Maxi's, Snorkel et al - did plenty of weekend away in the Shoalhaven area any too many trips to Fraser than I can actually recall. So not entirely new to LR's.
Anyway, I am thinking of getting back in the game again with a D1... I am pretty much sold a rig that I have come across - but I have one massive issue with it.
The ARB winch bar that is fitted has a significant fall from right to left... so, when looking from on at the Disco the right sits higher than the left. I could see any panel damage or alignment issues with them, and from estimates it would be a 1-2 inch fall... now before I jump to conclusions, what are others opinions on what would have caused this (assuming a hit from below) and would it indicate any chassis rail damage?
J.

1958 Holden FC special sedan
Cheers.
98' model so yes airbags.
If there is no sign of impact damage on panels or chassis or chassis mounts then it is probably just a case of realigning the bar and tightening it up in the correct position.
Excellent, thanks. That gives me some piece of mind.![]()
