Thread: 3 door VIN/year questions

Gday all, I suppose that I best stop lurking and get involved, I have a question regarding when my Disco was built, the plate in front of the bay tells me January whereas the plate on my left hand side wheel arch has a date of July '94, but doing a VIN search using the charts available according to my chart the prefix tells me that it should be produced in 1995, I'm a bit confused by the whole thing, of anybody could chime in I'd be most grateful, it is a 3 Door 300TDI

You have a 1995 Model Year Discovery but they were released in mid-1994 or so which might explain the date differences.


The 1994 D1 was sort of a gap filler model & wasn't in the marketplace for long.
