Hand brake problems
Having some trouble setting my hand brake up and am hoping someone can tell me what i'm doing wrong.
The car recently had a new clutch and when i collected it from the garage the hand brake just pulled all the way to the top click without engaging, long story but i wasn't able to wait at the garage for them to fix it and am now 1500ks away.
i've taken the prop and hand brake housing off to inspect and couldn't see anything wrong so refitted and adjusted cable and 17mm bolt so that now i can only pull the lever up two clicks till its completely solid... but still it won't hold the vehicle at all.
any ideas what the problem might be?

When you say will not hold.
Is it no resistance at all or some but not enough resistance,
probably adjustment or worn beyond service limit.

thanks mate, have just realised what the problem is after looking at lots of pictures and youtube videos haha. they've left the little spacers out that seat against the adjuster in the drum, so basically i've adjusted the handbrake to the point where the lever in the drum is touch the shaft coming out of the transfer case grr.
will have to get online and order some new parts.

Back the cable back off to where it was. Should never have to touch it always adjust it at the brake its self. I would be spewing the adjuster is missing
