    DRIVELINE VIBRATION

    G'day All,

I recently had a set of 2 inch coil spacers fitting to my 300 Tdi, along with new transfer case mounts, engine mounts and the rubber donut on the rear drive shaft. New rear wheel bearing were also fitted at the same time.

My issue is that at idle, in N or D[auto trans]there is a definite vibration felt through the floor. The vibration worsens on driving, and is related to engine speed, not road speed. I can't pinpoint a source while driving it, it just seems to be travelling through the whole chassis! It appears to be getting worse too...........

What should I be checking first? Is it possible that one of the new mounts has failed? I'll climb underneath it on the weekend and see if I can spot anything obvious.
    Thanks Will.
    Cheers William

It wont be a mount if its while static or engine speed related, check the tensioners, balancer and then possibly injection timing.

Looks like the driveline vibration/shudder was caused by low fluid in the auto trans. Took 500 ml to top it up and vibe is gone, trans is much smoother. Appears the leaking hose is losing more fluid than I thought
